Logo Winner
LOGO DESIGN CONTEST. RULES.
The project coordinators from the six European schools participating in the Erasmus+ Programme “Maths routes around Europe” have agreed on the development of a contest to design a logo which is to be used as the representative image of our project.
General conditions:
1. Aim. To design a logo to be used as the representative image of the Erasmus+ Project “Maths routes around Europe”.
2. Participants. This contest is aimed at all the students participating in the project.
3. Proposal. The object of this task is to create a logo, that is, a symbol.
a) The design must be original. Plagiarism is not allowed.
b) It is advisable to use colours which can be easily turned into the greyscale so that the logo can then be used both in colour and in black and white.
c) Format: Each logo must be submitted in BMP, GIF, JPG or TIF format and have a resolution of at least 200x200 pixels (the higher the resolution the better).
d) The topic of the logo must be related to the project we are working on, that is, maths routes around the cities participating in the project to promote the cultural and artistic heritage. NB: The logos containing sexist, xenophobis, racist or offensive connotations against people or institutions will be excluded.
4. Contest phases
The contest will have two phases:
Phase 1: Each school has to select a maximum of two logos among those submitted.
Phase 2: The winning logo will be chosen from the previous selection.
5. Projects presentation
The designs must be sent to the following email address erasmusplusmaths@gmail.com- detailing the name of the country and a brief explanation describing the story behind the logo, that is, the meaning it conveys. The logos can be submitted from October 30th, 2018, to January 7th, 2019.
6. Jury and verdict
The jury in phase 1 will be composed of all the members belonging to the Erasmus+ Programme and the Art Department at each school. The jury’s verdict in phase 1 will be announced before January 20th, 2019. Phase 2 will conclude with the choice of the winning logo by means of a questionnaire which will be open to vote just on January, 24th. The winner will be announced when travelling to Portugal.
7. Ownership rights
The winner of the contest gives over all the rights related to the submitted piece of work.
8. Prizes There are two types of prizes; one for each phase.
Phase 1: The two best logos at each school will be awarded with €50 to be spent on school material.
Phase 2: The winner will be awarded with €60 (each school will give €10). This prize will be delivered when visiting Portugal.
9. Terms and conditions
The participation in this contest implies acceptance of the rules above and the jury’s verdict.
