  • Stadtroda

After we spent two periods at school, we took the train to culturally-loaded Weimar where a mix of history, sightseeing, freetime and, of course, some study orientation at the Bauhaus University was awaiting us. A former participant of the Stadtroda-Drammen exchange program who now studies architecture at the Bauhaus University gave us a tour through some university buildings and enlightened us about his university life, e.g. the benefits, disadvantages, costs, accomodation, and the social life. It was really interesting to have a first-hand comparison between Norwegian and German uni-life and we are looking forward to learn more abou that once we are in Norway ourselves.

Famous and very historic spot: National Theater and Goethe-Schiller statue in Weimar.

Inside the Art University of Weimar together with our tour guide.

Student life in Weimar seems to be quite different than in Norway -  esp. the prices.
