    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    The aim of this project is to understand better the diversity of education, to share and apply best practices by developing flexible multicultural support for writing and reading abilities in all lessons using innovative methods, strategies and tools. It is very important for partner schools to develop reading and writing skills in an innovative and efficient way. Project activities will also focus on the knowledge of other cultures. The aim is to develop pupils' tolerance for other cultures, to help students to become aware of the meaning of their own, national and European culture, to become active European citizens, caring for its fostering and preservation for future generations. International school collaboration will enable teachers to improve their professional competencies by sharing good practice, developing learning tools and interactive tasks. This will enable pupils to become active and responsible participants of teaching and learning process.

    The aim of this project:

    * to improve students' reading and writing skills.

    Tasks:

    * to develop teachers’ professional competences in the field of improving pupils' reading and writing achievements (education), systematically exchanging good practises from partner schools in European countries and organizing international training / practical classes in partners’ schools;

    * to develop students' reading and writing skills, using innovative methods and tools, organizing international activities for their learning and teaching;

    * to provide the opportunity to achieve the best possible results for students of different social, cultural context and skills;

    * to create methodological tools that promote innovative, interactive and inclusive writing and reading training based on culturally different approaches;

    * to provide opportunities for learning and understanding to value your own and other countries' cultures, languages, and the way of thinking;

    * Strengthen co-operation between school communities, while developing, producing new teaching tools, tasks, educational spaces, and encouraging reading;

    * to provide free and open access to the project outcomes on line in European countries.

    The project's quantitative results: a methodological e-publication “Learning Differently” (parts: innovative methods developing reading and writing skills, scenarios of the lessons; developing reading and writing skills of students with special needs, migrants and/ or those who return from abroad; presentation of the kinesthetic learning tools; interactive tasks, methodological recommendations; The e-tool - Idea Bank "Space to grow" -this tool good practices of educational spaces that have already been created for promoting reading and writing skills; 25 (5 per school) kinesthetic learning tools will be produced for development of vocabulary, literacy, text creating, creativity; 80 interactive tasks for improving reading and writing skills; 9 Newsletters will be prepared by all partners together, which will publish information about the project activities, the outcomes, the products developed, the impact on participants; Almanac of pupils' creative works "We Grow Together"; TwinSpace for communication and dissemination during the project, 100 project lessons will be taught, which will cover reading and writing s strategies, methods, tasks and materials created during the project. 65 percent of the participants will reach the A2 level of English language, 70 percent of students will improve their reading and writing. Qualitative indicators: This project meets priorities of general education. This project involve parents into development of reading and writing teaching aids, the promotion of reading in order to strengthen the school’s cooperation with families.The project contributes to the problem of disadvantaged pupils. It focuses on education aimed to ensure the success of all pupils, including those with special needs and migrants, returnees from abroad. 

    Students who are involved in the main activities will improve their personal skills (will learn themselves and others, will learn to understand and express thoughts, feelings, experiences  and ideas of importance for the interpretation), cultural (reading and analyzing texts, express their cultural experience by creating texts themselves),learning to study (independently doing research, selecting the necessary information in various sources, systematizing and evaluating it, planning their own learning and developing a reading culture), communicating (gaining generallinguistic and social literacy, public speaking of their view and justifying it, learning to listen and understand other atitudes, participate in the discussion), social civic knowing and analysing the public space of the European Union, learning to understand public ideas, values, community life issues, developing a sence of responsibility), cognition (reading and analysing fictional and non-fictional texts, searching facts.
