Science workshops

  • During the final phase of the project pupils took part in scientific workshops. They worked in mixed groups (French/Serbian pupils) trying to make a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars. A Hydrogen Fuel Cell generates electrical power quietly and efficiently, producing zero pollution.

Pupils made cars using given components. Together they needed to read instructions, connect all parts and wires to create energy and make their engine run.

When they finished they could see that water is first broken down into its components Hydrogen and Oxygen using electrolysis. When they switched off the power supply these two recombine which actually created electrical energy making their car move.

The last step was to test all the cars in a race and to get the winner.
