8.2. From Torre del Greco

  • THE DANGEROUS CYBERBULLYING MACHINE.

    Description of the activity

Some students in class 3 of the secondary school have made a papier-mâché sculpture highlighting the danger of incorrect use of social networks namely the phenomenon of  cyberbullying.

The sculpture has got two key elements: the toothed wheels representing the new technologies and the snakes representing the "evil" creeping into them. The latter were freely interpreted by the snakes of the sculptor Nike de Saint Phalle.

The sculpture was conceived and produced following discussions and research on cyberbullying; after analyzing the pros and cons that the impact of social networks has on our lives; and finally, after choosing the artist who would make the snakes.

    Aim of this activity

The purpose of this work is to make students aware, responsible and critical and able to live with others in harmony, for the benefit of themselves and the entire community.
