This is the PBL task for the next few weeks: we are from UK, France, Sweden and Spain, how are we connected?
We found connections with Sweden in our protection of valuable nature. We are amazed about Swedish National Parks.
We are all connected by wildlife. Some Swedish wild animals are amazing.
Every child at Goose Green created their own self-portrait filled with things that represent themselves. We collaborated as a school and displayed these in our halls. The children used coloured wool to identify the connections they could find between the different portraits.
3th grade at CEIP Juan del Río Ayala, worked in CLIL with wild animals in Sweden. They found out some animal facts and created a joint book.
4th grade at CEIP Juan del Río Ayala found interesting learning about National Parks in Sweden with CLIL. they made research and lapbooks.
Pupils have been working on connections between our countries in their daily lives.The question became : "Is there a little bit of Spain, UK or Sweden in our lives ?".Pupils created posters that they will show to the families next week.They even found a little bit of France in Canaria Islands, Sweden and UK !Next tuesday, we will go in Perpignan to ask people what they know about Sweden, Gran Canaria and UK and if they think they are connected with those countries.To finish, they will give them some informations about some connections between our countries!
Connections with London, UK. They have found that we use many words with English origin (cake=queque, beef steak=bistec, sandwich, ... ), practice sports that were brought by the British, some British presence on the island, then some facts about London ...

The students have been comparing the Swedish book Mio, my son to the British book Harry potter and the philosopher's stone. They looked for differencies and similarities.
