Christmas in France
ONE TRADITION
In the south of France, we plant corn seeds on the 4th of December (day of the Saint Barbe) hoping a good harvest after winter. We plant them in order to have chance.
ONE TRADITIONNAL FOOD
Christmas cake
Ingredients
6 egg whites
4 egg yolks
250 grams of butter
10 tablespoons full of icing sugar
8 tablespoons full of flour
4 tablespoon of powdered sugar
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon full of coffee
Preparation
Phase 1: To make the dough
With powdered sugar and the 4 egg yolks, add the flour and egg whites beaten into snow.
Pour on parchment paper, buttered
Cook 15 minutes.
Phase 2: For the cream
Mix icing sugar and butter.
Work well so that the mixture takes the consistency of a creamy cream and add the 2 egg yolks.
Add the coffee and mix
Phase 3: Roll the cake
Spread the cream cookie and roll the cake.
Phase 4 : GOOD APETIT !!!
