On 11.07.2016 - 11.10.2016 we took part in the Police  The Career Week. It was organized by the District Labour Office and Psychological - Pedagogical Center in Police.

On November 8, all third grade students participated in exploring the Secondary School in Police . I. Lukasiewicz, known in Police as a "White".They had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the types of schools - technical hospitality, chemical,nutrition and food services, the essential vocational school with the chef and profiles of secondary school - class firemen, police, military, bio - chemical, tracing, sports, humanities, mathematics - natural and bilingual.

 As part of Police Week Career young people from our school participated in education fairs, during which they presented to the labor market institutions, employment agencies, Youth Career Center and universities. Our students could meet and talk with older students. They had a chance to talk about their educational plans, consult with specialists and see if the chosen educational path is suitable and whether it will be able in the future to study the dream study or get a job.

On November 10, our students have the opportunity to meet with employers, in practice, see how the work in the profession hotelier, baker - confectioner, manicurist, beautician and computer science. The interest among the students was a large, productive meeting, and bakers.

Our students visited also the confectionery production and bakery firm,. They met with the owners of the companies .They took part in the workshops how to decorate a variety of pastries. Another attraction were sightseeing warehouses and cold stores, where lay previously prepared pastries. They visited the hotel, the owner gave us answers to the questions.

 In May 2016 a group of students from our school participated in the extremely interesting meeting with local sculptors and creator-poet Zbigniew Szyrwielem. The place of meeting was the Municipal Library in Police.

Mr. Szyrwiel started the meeting with these words ,, no I did not finish art school, my passion and talent I developed myself ". For some people, it was very surprising statement. The artist's works of sculpture, reliefs and models of insects we could admire only on the pictures. In addition, the artist writes poems, excerpts of which we heard read during the visit.

Mr. Szyrwiel also demonstrated the current work of creating reliefs telling how important is the angle of the chisel and hammer impact force. In detail, the artist also described the tedious preparations for the execution of the model insect. He told how important for him to anatomy specific species of grasshopper, or flies. Organizatorce we were very grateful for the opportunity to meet with Mr. Szyrwiel.
