Second short-term exchanges of groups of pupils and first short-term joint staff training events in Žiri in Slovenia, 17-24 April 2016

  • We were sent a very detailed schedule. Every day was planned in order to show us as much as possible.

    Thanks to that we know much better our partner's country, customs and tradition, how our friends form Źiri learn at school, what subject they study and many many more.

    SCHEDULE – STUDENTS' MOBILITY IN PRIMARY SCHOOL ŽIRI, SLOVENIA (23 GUEST STUDENTS)

    SUNDAY, 17. 4. 2016: arrival day, meeting with family

    MONDAY, 18. 4. 2016

    8.20 arrival to school, reception in multifuncional room (MFR), around the school in two groups (guests)

    9.05 activity »ice breaker« in two groups (guests)

    10.00 snack MFR (guests)

    10.30lace school or origami workshop in two groups (guests)

    12.20-40 lunch at school (guests; host students join when they finish class)

    going home (guests + host students)

    16.00 meet infront of school, around Žiri area, local exhibition in 2 groups (guests + host students)

    18.00 going home (guests + host students)

     

     

    tour around the school, kindergarten, library

     

    reception at the town's mayor; 1st meeting – schedule, activities, formalities etc.

    TUESDAY, 19. 4. 2016 (host students have classes, at 15.20 they come back to school and join the workshop)

    8.20 trip to Škofja Loka (guests)

    9.00 highschool for woodworking, snack to go (guests)

    10.30 primary school for kids with special needs (guests)

    12.00 town – Art&Craft Centre of Škofja Loka (guests)

    14.00 lunch at school (guests)

    15.30 creative workshop in international teams with students from OŠ Žiri (4–8 groups)

    17.30 afternoon snack (guests + host students)

    18.00 movie night (guests + host students)

    20.00 going home (guests + host students)

     

     

     

     

    Work lunch – meeting for the Saturday charity market, organisation

    WEDNESDAY, 20. 4. 2016 (other half has a regular class)

    8.20 trip to Ljubljana (guests in cca. ½ half students OŠ Žiri)

    9.45–10.30 botanical garden, walk to the city centre, snack to go

    11.30 walk around city centre of Ljubljana, Woodway store

    (leaving Ljubljana at cca. 12.45 – urgent)

    14.30 lunch at Postojna Cave

    16.00 Postojna Cave

    19.00 coming back to Žiri, going home (guests + host students; other half of students come meet you infront of school)

     

    THURSDAY, 21. 4. 2016 (other half has a regular class)

    7.30 Bled (guests in cca. ½ učencev OŠ Žiri)

    14.30 lunch at school

    15.30 arts & technology workshop(preparation for the Saturday market) in 2 groups (guests + host students)

    18.00 Slovenian evening (guests + host families)

    19.00 going home (guests + host families)

     

     

    kindergarten – seminar/presentations about cooperation with parents, discussion and evaluation

    FRIDAY, 22. 4. 2016 (host students have classes)

    8.20 visiting local wooden business M-Sora (guests)

    9.55 snack at school

    10.15 host students in the classroom (with kids in lower grades)

    11.00 arts&crafts, preparation for the market on Saturday, decoration (guests in groups per country)

    13.00 lunch at school

    13.45 going home

    18.00 travelogue (guests + host families)
