WHAT WE CONCEIVED AND HOW WE INTENDED TO WORK:
SEQUENCING THE PROJECT STEPS
An idea came to our mind: how could we preserve our works of art and our landscape from an imaginary alien invasion?
Finland and Italy are ready to act: they know Europe is about to be put in the most horrible danger and try to warn the other European countries.
A group of museum curators, art historians, naturalists and art designers set out to rescue art and landscape from destruction.
They decide from which works of art / monuments / environmental sites they are going to start. The students collaborate by creating bilateral groups. The teams organize their tasks and the bilateral project has a go.
The students produce, finalize and exchange images, videos and files about their own cultural heritage.
A promise is made: we shall preserve our origins, we shall build a better future.
1. Let’s get to know each other.
2. Workshops about Cultural Heritage.
3. Individual/group visits to local libraries. Videos on places of interest will be shot and documents will be produced.
4. Excursions will be planned to an interesting place, if possible. We can work at school as well.
5. We make a shared presentation of the materials.
6. 'Should Cultural Heritage be taught at school?' Encourage debate and dialogue
7. Make a promise: 'How can we preserve our Cultural Heritage?'
8. Let’s celebrate the ‘Folk Heritage Day’ through a bilateral videoconference. Dissemination activities.
9. Evaluation of the project : Feedback of the project by the students. Summing up by the teachers.
