students' conference 2015: Vollen

  • Hey Guys!

We wanted to write a little review about the amazing week we have spend together in Norway.

Let's start with the arrivals. Well we can only tell about the german arrival because we are german... not a cause is it? We started at 3 am at our home town on sunday and arrived in Asker between 12 am and 1 pm. The journey to Asker was a bit tiring because it took so long and it started so early in the morning. But the evening with all of us together was lovely.

The first day of the actual conference started with a delicious breakfast (we really need to appreciate the food!!!!!) before we took the bus to the Vollen school. Where we setup our market stores and got more in contact with each other. The official opening was made up lovely and we really enjoyed listening to and watching the different acts. We two germans enjoyed looking at the market stores of the other countries and thought it was really interesting and well done. Then we had lunch and got each our own water bottles lovely!. The hiking after putting the market stores down was good I guess. We can't tell so much about it because we both sat in the library talking and talking and talking... because one of us couldn't walk...

On Tuesday we had project work and a lecture by Generation Green. It was funny and very interesting. In the afternoon we went to Asker townhall and listened to a presentation of the major. The freetime in Asker was a bit too long but we enjoyed it. Dinner that evening was lovely.

On Wednesday the international groups 1,2,3 and four had first of all the engineering challenge. Which was a great experience. Groups 5 and 6 had project work. Which is just working on their roleplay and chatting. After that we also had our schoolwalk, which was amazing because we got to talk to other norwegians out of the erasmus+ project. The afternoon we spend with playing a few games. Those games were funny and enjoyable.

Thursday we spend in Oslo with sightseeing and than leisuretime. It was fun but also a bit tireing because we nearly walked the whole day. It was also interesting to see the city and get to know something about it.

On Friday the groups 1,2,3 and 4 had project work and the groups 5 and 6 engineering challenge. The engineering challenge was really interesting and fun. The presentations of the different role plays was in the afternoon. They were well done and most of them had a few very funny aspects in them, which was lovely.

All together we really enjoyed our time in Norway. And we couldn't have imagined it better.
