HOW DO WE PROMOTE VALUES IN ESTONIA?

1. The conversation of the development - In every spring we have small talks with the parents and children. Teachers agree the meeting with every parent who is in the class. During the meeting teacher gives feedback about the child's behavior, grades and results. Teachers asks question from parents and children to get the feedback from the family. During the meeting they can make agreements about the behavior, solve different problems and discuss necessary topics. Teacher and parents can choose if they would like to meet together with the children or only the teacher and the parents. Every meeting lasts about 45 minutes.

2. The quiz “Kuldne Kakupoeg” - During the whole school year, there are 3 quizzes for all the primary school. 2^nd grade teachers will come up with the topic of the first quiz. 3^rd grade teachers will make the second quiz. 4^rh grade teacher will make the third quiz. Teachers agree on the topic and think out the questions. The topic will be told to everyone and so the other teacher can start preparing for the quiz. In every quiz there are about 10 questions. The topics can be different. For example countries, children literature, our school, sport etc. Before the fist quiz, the groups are made in the classroom. The groups will be the same during the whole school year. The quiz will take place in the assembly hall. Children have to work in groups and write down the answers. Children have different knowledge, so due to the different topics of the quizzes, many students can stand out. Results will be on the school wall, so they can see how they managed. In the end of the school year there will be a rewarding. As there are three classes in the 1^st grade, four classes in the 2^nd grade, three classes in the 3^rd grade and three classes in the 4^th grade, the winner will be chosen among all the first classes, among the second, third and fourth classes.
3. GRAFFITI idea – we still plan to create graffiti with kids. It might be as event together with value project, and local youth centers, municipality. As walking tunnel unfortunately is not safety place for painting graffiti, we need to find a new place. – students and project leader are working on that
