Hello everyone,
my proposal is to sing Jingle Bells altogether in the three different languages of this project (Greek, French and Catalan). I have written down a chart were to write a part of the song in your language. The kids took one already and translated it. You just have to write your lyrics and then the pronunciation in latin characters. Once we have it, it's up to you to record audio or video with your students singing the remix song and then post it here so it's the way we can wish each other a Merry xmas in a different way, what do you say?
Here you have the chart. As you can see, the repeated parts are just written once (chorus)

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

FRENCH
Sur le long chemin
Tout blanc de neige blanche
Un vieux monsieur s'avance
Avec sa canne dans la main
Et tout là-haut le vent
Qui siffle dans les branches
Lui souffle la romance
Qu'il chantait petit enfant

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot

Τρέχουν τα παιδιά
μέσα στο χιονιά
ήρθαν τα Χριστούγεννα
κι η Πρωτοχρονιά!
Μες τη σιγαλιά
ανοίγει η αγκαλιά
κι έκανε η αγάπη
την καρδιά φωλιά.

Trechoun ta pedia
mesa sto chionia
irthan ta Chistougenna
ki i protochronia!
Mes ti sigalia
anigi i agalia
ki ekane i agapi
tin kardia pholia.

Your proposal is very interesting but we can't work on it properly because my 4 and 5 years old don't know jingle bells in French. With many young pupils we need several weeks to teach them a song and we are going on holiday tomorrow. I'm not always in my class because I'm the head of the school as well . With little ones things have to be decided very early because they need time ! Murielle

Here you have the video of our students singing in the class the remix song. Enjoy!
