Mobility in Nisko 6/2018

  • From June 11 to 15, the third international mobility took place in Nisko, Poland, involving over 30 pupils from four countries - Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Lithuania.

    On the first day, all the participants met in the host school - Regionalne Centrum Edukacji Zawodowej in Nisko. Foreign groups were welcomed by the local project team as well as by the school leadership. The schools presented their national traditions, then the tasting of traditional Polish dishes followed. Students had to demonstrate their activity and good skills during sport activities and outdoor games with Whatsapp. The day ended with the traditional Polish dance show and a dance workshop - the participants learned the basic moves of the traditional dance, the Polonaise.

     

    On Tuesday, the participants moved to the nearby town of Stalowa Wola. First they visited the regional museum, where they could learn about the history and traditional crafts of the region. They could also learn traditional embroidery techniques. An important part of the program was a talent show, where the skilled participants showed their artistic talent.

     

    On Wednesday the participants visited the historic town of Sandomierz with its beautiful monuments and rich history. They also watched a historical arsenal show where they could try on traditional armour. In the afternoon there was a boat cruise on the programme.

     

    Thursday was a particularly long day, rich in activities and experiences. In the morning the participants travelled to the village Medynia Głogowska. They first went on a tour of the pottery workshop, and then they could try their skills behind the potter's circle. In the afternoon they went on a trip to the town Łańcut, combined with a tour of the beautiful castle. The day was completed by a sightseeing tour of the historic centre of Rzeszów, the capital of the region.

     

    Thanks to the rich programme, the week quickly came to its end. Even the last day was very varied. In the morning, all the participants received the certificates from the school headmaster and vice-mayor and evaluated the entire mobility. Then they moved to the town of Rudnik nad Sanem, where they looked at the baskets exhibition and could try their own skill in weaving baskets. In the town of Ulanów they visited the Museum of Rafting and the exhibition of the artist Andrzej Pityński. The day was finished with a cruise on wooden boats along the San River and a picnic with regional specialities.
