Monday:

We started our day by having breakfast and getting ready. We all picked nice elegant shirts and left hostel. After our arrival to school we got divided into two groups and teachers showed us the whole school. When we got back to the main class we watched the videos of our presentations. Then we got splitted into even smaller groups based on our ID color that we got earlier.In those group we played board game that helped us break the ice and talk about ourself. Then we had a lunch break and when everyone got back we started presentation about our traditions and folk stuff. When everyone finished we got back to the hostel and finally ate something. We were so full after lunch that we didn’t finish our dinner. Some time later we went to play bowling. Then we got back to our rooms and got ready for the next day…

Tuesday:

We woke up around seven o’clock and we went for a breakfast. We got ready and head up to the school. When we arrived we have met Mister Milan Malcek. He is repairing and painting old crosses in Detva. After short movie about him and his work we had a chance to paint our own crosses and pick the best one of them. The next thing that we have done was dancing. We learned the folk Dance of Detva. It was pretty difficult task for everybody, but we think that we handled It pretty well. After this lesson we had lunchbreak and we rested for a bit, and then we went to culture house. At culture house we watched kids during test of their play.

Wednesday:

We got up early, because we went to Banska Stiavnica. At first we were visiting a mining museum. We explored the closed mine of silver and we saw many interesting things about history of mining. After we saying goodbye to the guide, we head into the city for a lunch. Then, after the great meal, we visited the folk workshop, where we helped in pulling strudel, and the two nice ladies showed us the technic of painting the bags and making ornaments out of sheep wool. Before we went back to our hostel, we split in two groups, one went straight to the bus, and the other, which was our group, went to the place called Stiavnickie Betlejem. Then we came back to the hostel and had fun with the youngs from other countries.

Thursday:

The day has begun by eating breakfast. After finishing the meal we went to the horse ranch by the bus, and there we learned how to ride on a horseback. After the lesson we had a great meal, and then we headed back into the hostel. After the resting for some time, we went into the regional museum of Detva, also named Podpolianske Museum Detva and we saw some interesting stuff from the beggining of the city. When we finished taking a tour around the museum and bought some souvenirs. We went back to the hostel to spent some time resting and talking with our friends.

Friday:

Today is the last day of our adventure in Detva. We are sad, but still full of energy. The day started by having breakfast and going into the school to solve some quizes about the countries of participants of the project. After having the fun in school, we went to Bańska Bystrica, where we enjoyed the Christmas market. After the exhausting trip we went back to the hostel to pack our luggage and prepare for a long trip. We thanked the rest of our friends for having such a good time and we hope that we will see them.
