    Bélgica:

GO! Scholengroep Brussel is one of the 28 school groups of the Flemish Community Education (GO!). Our school group consists of 32 kindergartens, 36 primary schools, 17 secondary schools (amongst which 9 VET and 1 dual learning), 2 centers for adult education, a pupil guidance center, 5 art academies and 2 boarding schools. In total, our school group counts about 3.000 teachers and 23.000 learners, which makes us the largest school group within GO!.

GO! Scholengroep Brussel as an organization coordinates and supports all of its schools on different levels with its different departments of the general directorate: administration, finance, ICT, infrastructure… (about 62 people in total). We offer guidance, outline policies and foster cooperation between our schools in order to enable the schools to really focus on their educational task and thus assure quality education.

Furthermore, we closely cooperate with the GO! Central Services, that offer in-service teacher training, pedagogic guidance and counseling, as well as with universities and research centers such as VUB (Free University of Brussels) and Erasmushogeschool.

Situated in Brussels, the capital of Europe, our schools offer quality education in an international urban context to learners, whatever their background, nationality, religion or culture. We strongly defend the Pedagogic Project of GO! (PPGO!), which fosters openness, equity, cooperation, commitment, mutual respect and quality. Indeed, our public reflects the diversity and multicultural population that can be expected from the European capital. Although we are part of the Flemish Community Education, most of our pupils speak French or another, often non-European, language at home. Our teachers work with a diversity in cultures, nationalities, socio-economic backgrounds, religions and languages. This can be a challenge but we choose to embrace this richness and foster it by offering every learner equal chances to quality education.

    Italia:

AFP Colline Astigiane (AFP) was established in 1972 and its legal status was changed in 1998 thanks to a Regional Regulation which transformed the Centre into a consortium including local authorities (Comune di Agliano Terme, Comune di Canelli and Nizza Monferrato, Municipality Associations) and industry (Bersano SPA, Cassa di Risparmio di Asti and F.lli Carli SPA).

The Centre fulfils the tasks of training and orienting citizens, both Italian and foreigners, young and adults, employed and unemployed in order to supply them with the necessary skills and competences in the tourism and hospitality field, namely offering training programmes for cooks, waiters and tourism-related professions.

AFP also provides special needs training mostly aimed at providing students with learning limitations (based on genetic-related illnesses) with the minimum skills required to enter the labour market. Such provision is offered via the cooperation between AFP and local stakeholders such as family associations and local authorities (both local and regional).

The training structure is funded by the European Social Fund, the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, the education and training department of the Regional Government of Piemonte. Its main goal is to supply training pathways able to mix the personal attitudes and wishes of the trainees with the opportunities offered by the labour market at the local, national and European level. The trainees are made pro-active players of their own choices by promoting and enhancing the quality of their skills and attitudes as individuals, citizens and workers.

Young people in mandatory educational age are supplied with a choice of 2 or 3 years programmes, and with the possibility of accessing a fourth year under experimental conditions for the permeability of their training with Higher Education programmes. The qualifications released by AFP are valid to start a new business in the field of restoration and culinary arts according to the Regional regulation.

The above described structure is currently undergoing quite a huge modification due to the introduction of the Dual Training System in the territory of Regione Piemonte.

Adults are supplied with a number of opportunities both to update and refresh their skills in the fields of hospitality and culinary arts, and to start new qualification programmes. Unemployed are also offered the chance to be re-oriented and re-qualified thanks to the initiatives aimed to the specific target both in terms of training and guidance/orientation services supplied.

Trainees have the opportunity to perfect training paths and complete their professional, transversal and key competences through work-placement periods spent both in Italy and abroad, thanks to the mobility schemes funded by the EU.

The Centre premises are located in three different areas. The main headquarter is located in Agliano Terme, the second location was established in 2010 in the historical centre of Asti in order to attract trainees from areas which were too far from its main premise. A third facility was created on October 2013 in Alessandria thanks to the regional accreditation as an official Employment Service. Such activity aims at both providing a training legacy to the proper students of AFP and others coming from different schools of the area at the completion of their qualification or diploma and to provide local unemployed people with guidance and orientation to favour their re integration into the labour market.

As of September 2015, AFP Colline Astigiane has been awarded with the Erasmus+ VET Mobility Charter. Thanks to such accreditation, its internationalization strategy was quite enhanced and spans from Erasmus+ to the ESF.

    PORTUGAL

Cooptécnica Gustave Eiffel CRL is a private non-profit cooperative that has been dedicated since 1989 to the education and vocational training of young people and adults. It was created by a group of people who share the same vision about education, answering the State's call for the participation of civil society in the process of education and professional qualification of the population.

We are an institution specializing in vocational education and training of young people and adults, and our largest project is the Gustave Eiffel group of professional schools. There are six schools in total, four of which are based in the region of the capital of Portugal, Lisbon, and two more in the north, namely Arruda dos Vinhos and Entroncamento.

We are recognized as one of the largest educational communities in Portugal with around 3000 students and more than 500 employees. We seek to establish close relations in the communities where we are located, since the realities of each of our schools are quite diverse. In the case of Entroncamento, the school where the present application starts, we have about 300 students and close to 50 staff members. Here we offer several services to the population that we serve, for young people and adults. In addition to vocational education courses for young people who wish to complete secondary education (12 years of schooling) and courses for the completion of basic education (9 years of schooling), we have a significant offer for adults, including a Center Qualifies, service able to recognize, validate and certify school and professional competences acquired in non-formal and informal contexts.

We also highlight the wide network of partnerships that we establish locally, as our privileged relationship with local authorities, social entities and regional employment agencies with whom we often organize training courses for unemployed adults or young NEETs.

Currently in Entroncamento we have a diversified training offer in the areas of mechatronics (electricity, electronics and automation), mechanics, tourism and catering (cooking/pastry, bakery/pastry and table service/bar).

In Cooptécnica Gustave Eiffel we believe that all young people and adults have untapped learning potential, and we take as our mission the individualized pedagogical work that enhances the realization of these powerful personal resources. Thus, we advocate an individualized pedagogical strategy, centered on the individual and the groups in formation, focusing on the various dimensions of the individual, on a humanistic understanding of our trainees, associated with the construction of the skills profile of the future professional but also with the citizen, once we understand this process as inseparable.
