Quiz Time!
In September, children in 6th class worked on some readings about means of transports, and ten in October, they took part in a quizz with the rest of countries. They had so much fun!

Creating Board Games!
During the first term, children of 4th and 6th Grade prepared board games related to means of transport.
They planned a game, looked for information, and then turned everything into a boardgame.

Christmas Cards
November was the time to prepare Christmas Cards to send to our project partners in Sicily.
We also received theirs, and our kids were so happy to read them.

School Project on Partners
This is the first year that children in 3rd Grade work on projects. The project they are working on is about volcanoes.
Luckily, we have an Erasmus partner in Sicily, and children have had the chance to do a research about this wonderful place. They have been working in a global way, including all the subjects in that process.
They are only 8 years old and what a great job they did!
Our children in 4th Grade worked on PowerPoints presentations, doing a reserach information about our Erasmus partners in Poland, Italy and in Greece.
This PowerPoints include cultural aspects as well as means of transport of each country.

5th Graders realised 3 Workshops working about Ireland.
During the first session, they did an introduction about our Erasmus partners, countries involved in the project, their capitals, and a bit of information related to latitude and longitude, population, languages spoken and most important UNESCO sites.
Follow to this, they worked on specific topics, such as the music of Ireland, the food and the sports.

Beach Clean Up!
In the first term, 5th Graders visited sustainable facilities around the village. One of the places where they went was a public school which uses solar energy through solar panels.
After, they finished the trip at the beach, where children and teachers did some cleaning up tasks, classifying the rubbish into different groups: plastics, glass, paper, natural waste, and rubbish which cannot be reused or recycled, such as cigarettes.

Peace Day
Travelling to Peace
On the 31st of January, we celebrated the Peace Day.
5th Graders and 1st Graders worked together on the 16th Global Goal by creating this display.
Skyping with Poland
On the 1st of February, 6th Graders had an Skype conversation with our friends in Poland.
They asked questions to each other about the school and the country, and Poland also showed us the snow!
What a great experience!
Erasmus visit - Ibiza / Eivissa
On the 22nd to the 26th of Febreary, we all met at the island.
We visited the Town Hall of Santa Eulària, and walked around the town. Balafia and Santa Gertrudis.
We also had a tour around the old town of Eivissa
Es Cubells and Es Vedrà
On Monday 25th, we spent the day at school. Children were very excited to have all the Erasmus partners here.
And in the afetrnoon, we went to Ses Salines.
We had shuch a great time all together.
The local newspaper did a disemination of the visit too.
Radio Program - Puig Vallencs
During the visit of the Erasmus teachers in Ibiza, some children interviewed a few teachers from the other countries. Here you can find the link to listen the radio program.

School Open Day
During two days, the school opened its doors for parents and people indorder to show everyone all the great work children and teachers are doing.
Transports in the Past
5th Graders, at the beginning of the school year worked on the transports that were used in the past.
They also learned about different history facts that took place around the world.
As a final product, children realized a description of the different types of vehicles, and they also designed and made them.
My Fantastic Transport
6th Graders, created a "Fantastic Vehicle".
They first designed it, and then wrote its characteristics.
After, they turned into real.
And then, as they wanted to do an exhibition, they did a poster in order to advertise it.
17 Global Goals
Teachers' Training
Teachers in CEIP Puig d'en Valls realised a Teaching training on the 17th Global Goals and how to work them from the school.
Sustainable Puig d'en Valls 2030
5th Graders made a plan about how to get our town more sustainable. They designed all the buildings, roads, energies to be used... and then they turned the town into a mockup.
After, they presented this work to the Local Government.

Europe's Day celebration - May 9th
All the school comunity dressed in blue to celebrate Europe's Day.
After the play time, students of 5th Grade did a concert to the rest of the school. They learnen the European Himn with their music teacher.

In the school, we also dedicated a wall to the Europe Day, and in each star we wrote thing that the countries that belonge to the EU do well.

Transport Story tales
During the second term, 6th Graders created different story tales in Catalan.
They first wrote and individual story. After, in small groups, they choosed one.
As a result of globalizing subjects, (language and art and crafts) they prepared these fantastic story tales. Have a look at them!

Transports Photo Albums
During the last term, kids in our school created photo albums about transports.
5th Graders used ICT tools in order to edit and transform the pictures they took.
