  • Salvador Dalí (May 11, 1904 – January 23, 1989) was a prominent Spanish Catalan surrealist painter born in Figueres, Spain.
    The Persistence of Memory is a 1931 painting by the artist, and is one of his most recognizable works. It is commonly better known by the more descriptive  titles "The Soft Watches".
