All pupils from Grade 8 and 9 took part and after the presentation some of them started the Fairtrade school club.

    3) Searching for the Fairtrade products - club visits Avion shopping center

All club members were looking for Fairtrade products while shopping in October. After this research we visited Avion shopping center where most of the shops selling such products are located. We made interview with the shop assistants to find out how much they know about the meaning of Fairtrade logo and the products. Tereza wrote an article about the visit for her websites. The results of our short survey: We found Fairtrade products in Mark and Spencer, Starbucks, Tchibo, DM drugstore and Hypernova supermarket. All shop assistants claimed that Fairtrade products are more expensive due to their higher quality. Some of them new more about these products, some were more helpful, others were not allowed to talk to us. At the end of our visit we bought a Fairtrade hot chocolate and cookies.

    4) Presenting Fairtrade to parents during Open Door Day in January 2015

In January we prepared presentation of our project for parents who visited our school during the Open Door Day. We asked them what they knew about Fairtrade. Some of the knew a lot and enjoyed talking with us. It was not easy to address adults which we did not know personally and present them the ideas of Fairtrade because they were there with their little children and were busy but most of them were very kindly. For this event we prepared a large poster to catch the attention.

First we gave a lesson and explain what Fairtrade is on Monday 26 January 2015. We used presentation which prepared for our topical day in November and translated them into English and even improved them. We also asked students to fill in our survey form before and after the presentations so that we could see what we have taught our guests. On Thursday we organized exhibition of the posters where all team introduced themselves, showed on the map their country and explained which ideas their poster is representing. Finally we made a video with greetings in our mother tongues and a message about this workshop.
