The project’s name is „No Stereotypes But Diversity”. The second meeting of this project was in Romania, Rosiorii de Vede.
On the first day we arrived to the school. Firstly every group (Romania, Spain, Turkey, Hungary) showed a presentation about their country and their culture. After that, we played several games about stereotypes, then we visited a gipsy house.
On the second day after breakfast we went to the scool again. We created some groups from different countries. My group had to make a poster and a short play about disabled people, then we played some intereactive games. After that two girls (Rhita and Lidia) from the spanish group had a presentation about the discrimination in Spain.
In the second evening we had an intercultural party where we could meet different cultures. Every nationalities showed an own production (for example dancing or singing)
On the third day we visited Buzescu. It is a gipsy village. We saw some gipsy houses and we visited a church and the local school in Buzescu when the regionary students showed a gipsy dance.
On the fourth day we went to the school again. The hungarian teachers showed some video about the discrimination and the stereotypes. After that we had an interactive game about the stereotypes. In the afternoon we had a picnic and we did some sports in the forest.
On the last day we painted our flags and our handprint to a wall at the court of the school.
I think the community was so amazing. I could meet some other cultures and I could study about the stereotypes and the discrimination. Győrfi Zsombor Hungary
Romania
I really enjoyed Romania. There were a couple of countries represented such as Turkey, Spanish, Roman and Hungary. Firstly, in my opinion the presetations were so important. We talked about stereotypes and discrimination. I think these problems appeared on the whole world. We did many tasks with these problems wich taught us how we have to react and treat stereotype and discrimination. Some of the countries talked about how they solve these problems.
We were in many other programs. Every country went together to a tour to visit gipsy houses. It was much different than I've ever seen. Inside in the houses there were a lot of decoration and outside they looked like a palace. Every gipsy were so kind with us.
We had many team building games wich were so enjoyable. I really liked the party where all of the countries had fun together. Every country presented some song from their country. Then we taught each other some traditional dances. I really loved the others presentations. What is more we went to a picnic with everyone. First we ate good food then we could do many sports such as vallyball, football and tug of war.
However for me the most important things were the people, the countries and the languages. Every country represented their traditions, language, capital city and foods. I loved to listen other langeuges, make friends, talk with peoples what they love, why they are here and how they live. Everyone was so kind, friendly and opened. So to summarize it I can offer it to every people to participate. Földesi Emese Anna 8.A Hungary
