Illustrated bites

  • The fair of illustration book with recipes

    Dear Friends,

we have to prepare till Christmas a cookbook( in electronic and on paper view) and send it to another partner. You could ask your kids draw or make together by PC program one or more cookbooks and present there how to cook, step-by-step, favorite and easy national dish.

Let you and your kids arrange the book - you could add some interesting pictures or information about your country, town, school, most popular herbs, cuisine and etc. You will get the cookbook from another partner.

Portici - I.C.3 "Don Peppe Diana"

My pupils are drawing the cookbook in A4 sheet. They are making illustrated recipes, so each step, in the recipe, is represented with pictures and captions.

Then, I photocopy the original drawings, the pupils will create a cookbook with those copies, which we will send to Portugal.
An electronic copy will be made available to all partners.

When we receive the Bulgarian cookbook, we will research their recipes and we create a wall exhibition in our school...but it's just a beginning, maybe others ideas will come!

    Dear Friends,

our Cookbook is ready to fly to Portugal..in a hardy copy.

    Dear Friends,

Finally our Cookbook is ready! An illustrated recipe is a super fun and yummy way to showcase our cuisine and attract new fens.:-)

We are not an artists, but we love drawing and creating the cookbook was one great adventure for us.
We think that an illustrated recipe can portray lots of things that a photo cannot. It can evoke memories and tell a story. It can be funny, sweet, nostalgic, silly, pretty and totally scrumptious. It can connect us to different cultures and introduce us to new flavor.

    Enjoy our book!
