"Grandparents, young people and Christmas, a fruitful relationship between generations."

On the eve of Christmas, our upper level students of Administration have organized an event where older people and themselves should participate, as young people, in which they would talk about Christmas.
All of them, elderly and young people, were deepening in the conversations and interesting differences were emerging between the ways of living the Christmas season of different generations.
The connection between elderly and young people became evident little by little through multiple questions and answers.
This type of intergenerational shock thus becomes a very educational fact.

Some learn from others and are very surprised, especially young people, for the few things that were available many years ago and not so far away. But also of the desire to live and be happy of the grandparents, of the effort and of the daily struggle to get ahead.

Relations between generations have created an added value. The grandparents like to be listened to and at the same time pay attention to the young, the boys see their own grandparents reflected and their affection towards them.

 

 

X Day of Solidarity

10 years educating in Solidarity, in a morning of discoveries and emotions with the participation of 8 NGOs that spoke to us about Human Rights, equality, drug prevention, peace, refugees, reintegration, education and also the needs of the population from Mataró.

Charity lunch, non-competitive careers, workshop-mural, audio-visual, musical and literary performances, many activities different from those of an ordinary day.

It was a morning with the participation of high school students as volunteers, high school students collecting food and money for a child project in Africa and for poor families in our city, as well as professional training students have taken part in these days.

With all this, it becomes clear that solidarity is not only a good thought, it also implies personal contributions. But the most important thing is the projection that this education generates in the people.
