Project

  • "Europe ... traveling through the castles"

    Description

    The idea of this project came from mobility in Granada "The Grand Tour en Europe: créativité, innovation, citoyenneté active et dialogue interculturel" with the Erasmus Project "Learning in Europe" KA1 2016-1-it02-ka101-023780.

    The project is intended for schools located in a country where a castle is located. The main idea of this project is to bring our students with castles history to European history in an attractive way. By working on the tasks related to the history of the castle, we will try to show our students that history has many interesting aspects. During this project students will study the history of the castle, which will familiarize them with their historical themes in their region. From the history of your castle lead students to find connections with Europe. Teachers and students will collaborate and exchange experiences and each partner school will regularly communicate their progress through TwinSpace.

    Finality

    The main purpose of the project is starting from the exploration of the history of his own castle and search for the possible historical connections with other European countries.

    Aims

    The main objectives of this project are:

    - Show our European students that each country has historical connections with the history of other European countries.

     - Provide assistance to pupils and make them understand the opportunities offered by European programs.

    - Encourage the use of a foreign language such as English (working language) as a communicative tool and learn how to value it as a personal and collective heritage that can transmit our cultural values.

    - Contribute to the training of our pupils through a program of activities aimed at strengthening their European awareness and motivating them to continue their education

    - Use new technologies and creative approaches to produce, process and disseminate results to a wider level and use information technology safely.

    Work process

    The activities carried out will be published in the TwinSpace and in the Project Diary working with various Web 2.0 tools and image editors.

    This project will last for the entire school year and will be divided into three phases

    1. Introducing partners and presenting students.

    2. Prepare the project logo with drawings then proceed to vote for the best logo (Tricider)

    3. Exchange of stories of your castle.

    4. Students will draw designs (on paper or in digital form), representing interesting facts or stories about the castle. Each school publishes its posters on the Padlet.

    5. Take photos of the castle (castle inside, outside, details ...) and edit them on your computer using the image editor of their choice. You will be organizing an exhibition of these photos with online voting for the best photo (Tricider) and a possible real meeting of partners.

    6. Look for the historical roots of your castle to find links to European history.

    7. Build an e-book of the whole process to be aware that every city has its European roots.

    8. Evaluation will take place through a common observation card and a common online narrative autobiography questionnaire to verify the acquired skills of the pupils.

    Expected results

    Skills to be acquired by pupils aim at personal development and development, active citizenship, social inclusion. In particular:

    1. communication in foreign languages;

    2. digital competence;

    3. learn to learn;

    4. social and civic skills;

    5. awareness and cultural expression.

     The final results will be posters, photos, online exhibitions, final presentation of the project.
