Greece - Turkey (Silifke)

  • On March 7, 2018 the Greek and the Turkish school met online.

Purpose: Develop together an innovative robotics app.

    Meeting language: English

Robot: S4A - Scratch for Arduino

Software for robotics: Scratch programming language for robots

    Software for communication: Messenger

Software for supervision and remote control: Teamviewer.

Outcome: The Greek and the Turkish pupils developed together an app to control a teddy bear robotic goalkeeper from a distance.  At the end the Turkish pupils were controlling the goalkeeper trying to avoid the shots with a real ball from the Greek side.

The pupils could see each other through Messenger. The Turkish pupils could control and watch the teddy bear robot moving in real time.

Both classes could program and control the robot that was in Greece, as the computer that was running Scratch programming language in Greece was controled with Teamviewer from Turkey.

The robot was connected to the computer with a USB cable.
