E se...noi scriviamo storie ? And if...we write stories ? Et si...nous écrivions des histoires ?

 

1-Project summury:

The idea of this project was born out of a common formative experience based on Gianni Rodari's and Bernard Friot's texts and readings: through listening activities, playful and creative activities of reading promotion, the aim is to develop spoken and written communication skills in the mother tongue Creative writing also through digital resources. The methodological reference will be the Grammar of G. Rodari's fantasy along with the publications for teachers and children curated by Friot.

 

2-Objectives :

Promote cooperation and exchange
Collaborate among peers or between heterogeneous groups by age

Expand oral and written children's vocabulary
Enhance understanding and analysis of read and written text;
Enhance the skills of reflection and rework
Motivate creative writing and enhance writing skills

3-Objectives with regard to the French programs

 

FRENCH LANGUAGE

-To understand and appreciate Rodari's and Friot's writing style

-To take part in the discussions and dictated to the adult

-Take into account his(her) interlocutors

-To use an approach of writing (find ideas, organize them…)

-To expand oral and written vocabulary

 

CIVIC EDUCATION

-To be open to the other one

-To make a collective project

-To cooperate to reach a goal

-To develop curiosity about other people and share productions with them

ART

-To take part in an artistic project

-To respect the imposed subjects and to draw about a text

 

ENGLISH LEARNING

-To speak continuously

-To introduice ourselves with a game

-To listen to other English students from another country (oral comprehension)

 

ICT

-To use digital technology and video to communicate

-To participate in the creation of an ebook

 

3-Final creation :

The final production is a common ebook with our creations

 

Teaching practices :

To know Rodari's books and Friot's book and to use it to teach french

To use new technologies to teach and to meet teachers and students from other countries.

To discover new work habits (Google doc/twinspace, storyjumper, classtools (spin), learning apps)

 

 

 

4-Calendar and activities:

 

Activity 0 :

- During summer holidays

For teachers only: To read different books of Gianni Rodari and Bernard Friot. (The project is based on « La grammaire de l'imagination » Gianni Rodari) and create the project.

 

-During september : To read to the children short stories of the authors

 

Activity 1 : before october 21st

LET'S INTRODUICE OURSELVES USING GAMES !

Each class chooses a game to introduice children (learnig apps : memory game, who's who game, video…) In english.

 

Activity 2 : before December 23rd

OLD QUESTIONS' GAME (Chapter 10 in Rodari's book)

Each class answers one question without knowing what the others have written. Next, we write a « nonsense » story.

 

Activity 3 : Before February 24th

THE WHEEL OF THE CHANCE ! (inspirated from chapter 3/4 in Rodari's book)

Each class creates a spin with a different category (characters, animals, places...Details to be defined). Next, we write a text with the same words. We will have 4 stories (4 classes) with the same words at the beginning.

 

Activity 4:Before April 21st

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF….. ? (chapter 6 (for younger children or 26 for older children)

Imagine what will happen if……. Details to be defined

 

FINAL PRODUCTION : Common ebook (Italian and french) before summer holidays !
