The E.C. Representation in the UK will contact Embassies to inform them about the event and the topics for debate.

You are then free to approach the embassy of your assigned country and ask for details of somebody who would be willing to provide an insight and information on the topics covered by this year’s Mock Council. In previous years, schools who have successfully made contact have found the assistance and knowledge passed on to be invaluable.

Embassy representatives will be informed about the topics of the debate and also invited to the event.

Please be aware that as the topics for debate are set in the future, at a time when the UK would be negotiating the terms of its EU exit with the other 27 Member States, that there may be sensitivities around the topics for debate.
