The movie was created within the framework of the eTwinning project "WHF: With a little Help from my Friends" & the Environmental and Cultural projects the 5th Graders of the 10th Helioupolis Primary School worked on during the school year 2016-2017. After field researching the local community, the children made a list of problems that inspired them to write the script for a film. Facilitated by director & script writer Yannis Sakaridis and supported by their teachers Natalia Tzitzi, Tasos Pallis and Vasilis Koulioumpas, the 5th Graders assigned roles both in fron of and behind the camera, shot scenes, composed original score entitled "Wandering" using an online tool, subtitled the film and added captions noting the problems they had identified in the area around their school. For this movie, we would like to thank (1) Dr. Jane Goodall & the Jane Goodall Institute for the "Roots & Shoots" program, (2) our eTwinning partners, 93 Zaporizhia High School from Ukraine and Cenzgiz Topel Primary School from Turkey, (3) Ms Maria Dimopoulou, Environmental Education Advisor of the 1st Directorate of Primary Education of Athens, (4) Ms Calliope Kyrdi, Cultural Education Advisor of the 1st Directorate of Primary Education of Athens, (5) the teaching staff of the 10th Helioupolis Primary School, (6) the mothers & grandmothers who escorted the pupils in the field research that aimed at identifying the problems in the local community, (7) and, last but definitely not least, we would like to thank warmly director & script writer Yannis Sakaridis, who has been our Mentor.
