DISSEMINATION

  • Dissemination

Dissemination activities have been targeted at the following groups:
    - school staff (both teaching and non-teaching) in all partner schools. This is by means of Erasmus+ corners and reports during school staff meetings. Such reports are done at least twice a year in each school
    - local educational operators cooperating with all the partner schools, such as sports instructors, psychologists, professional and/or volunteer educators, who were always invited to take part in interesting activities and training events, to share the network of good practices experienced during the project. An example of this was the sports training session in Italy, where the instructors of various sports clubs joined us for a common inclusive training event.
    - local authorities, which were always invited to meet the project participants on the occasion of events, to sensitise and raise awareness about what was implemented and strengthen the relationship between schools and their territory. This
was done during all the LTTAs carried out in each partner country. Also during the various Welcome Shows the local authorities were engaged in simple activities with the international students.
    - other schools at national level in each country, by means of network projects and the participation in national training seminars (eg Erasmus+ seminars as examples of good-practice schools) and events, such as for example the TESOL national conventions in Italy in 2016 and 2017 with poster presentations by the coordinators resulting in an article in the organisation newsletter, and in 2018 with a joint 45-minute live presentation by 3 partners. After undergoing selection by the convention committee, the teachers presented the project activities and results and interacted with the other teachers from all over Europe (and not just) attending the convention, which is specifically targeted at English Language teachers and at teachers using English as a medium in education. The participation in these three
conventions allowed us to exchange ideas and report on the project experiences.
    - other European schools/institutions, for example by adjusting materials produced for this project (eg the video activity "A Giraffe in the Rain") to make it available to older students, who are taking part in projects about migration and peace heroes with the secondary school students of our institution.
Our choices to mainly address educational settings were driven by the belief that educators can act as multiplying sources of reflections and act as initiators of inclusive environment which the learners can then develop collaboratively.
