ITALY October 2016

  • Italy October 2016

The 1st transnational meeting in Italy, (Oct 2016) was mainly dedicated to reviewing the organisation of the whole project and getting to know each other better. Each school gave a brief presentation of their own context and of what they do to care for the issue of inclusion. For example everybody explained what is included in their institution's plan of the educational offering and the help we sometimes get from local authorities and other outside bodies, like psychologists. Then we agreed on the main points of the baseline questionnaire, which was subsequently designed to collect data about students' awareness concerning inclusion and cooperation. The questionnaire was administered between the first and second transnational meetings and data was collected by each school. The same questionnaire was administered again at the end of the project, to detect changes in attitude, feelings etc. Training about inclusive activities was provided by an expert PE instructor, Juan Carlos Mogni, author of educational books about inclusion in sports activities. This training event was carried out in English and saw the participation of school teachers from the partner schools and from nearby schools, trainers, and sports instructors from the local sports clubs, thus increasing contacts between the school and the territory (which was one of the aims of the project).
