LATVIA May 2018

  • Latvia May 2018

A new group of pupils met in Latvia at the beginning of June 2018 to animate the third LTTA. The students presented materials about their country's traditions and festivals during a Heritage Fair organised at school which was also opened to local families and representatives of Latvian institutions. The students interacted with each other in mixed groups and with children from the host country and engaged them in other inclusive activities typical of their context (sports activities, animated reading, simple science experiments, maths and science games, for example by using Lapbooks for simpler explanations, etc.). This was done under the supervision of their teachers,
using modalities established during the first exchanges. The Latvian team organised lots of outdoor activities in mixed groups as well as traditional and cultural-awareness events, such as the visit to a typical doll small factory and an old Russian fortress. Teachers gathered materials for the eTwinning space and blog with also comments from the involved students.
