ABOUT THE PROJECT

  •  PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Our project is set on reaching the heart&soul of our kids, and alas, we have come up with the title „We, the Kids of the EU, believe…” . This project derives out of pure need and urge to enhance their basic skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening.  These skills have been experiencing a drop down each year more and more.

Another problem we have noticed is a lack of tolerance, prejudices children have been expressing towards „the different ones“, i.e. children of different physical appearance, clothes, religion, nationality...leading even towards peer bullying, discrimination, turning into an issue of the local community. In order to improve the entire awareness level on children's rights, tolerance, discrimination, prejudices, bullying and help our pupils grow into peaceful, tolerant citizens of well balanced common sense and mind, we have created various activities intended for increasing the level of awareness on children's rights (human rights) and thus help  them meet, understand and accept „the different ones“ believe...“.

By nature we are all afraid of the unknown, things we do not understand, therefore we mean to bring all these „unknown“ subjects closer to our children and help them realize we are all connected, we are all one.

All activities shall be implemented by means of practising the basic skills under special school atmosphere, meaning we aim at creating a school-stress-relieving-zone.

It is essential to establish positive vibrations and good cooperation with partner schools providing our pupils with a good-natured path towards EU friendship and thus meet and learn all about different cultures, the way of life, traditions and customs....

     PROJECT OBJECTIVES

We have established two major objectives of our project „We, the Kids of the EU, believe...“and these are the following:

-enhancing basic skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening.

We shall exchange teaching tools, techniques and methods with our partner schools aiming at developing the aforesaid basic skills bringing us all to the European level of education.

-increasing the awareness level on tolerance, accepting differences, eliminating prejudices.

We live in a multicultural world and if we strive for a peaceful, well-balanced life inside a vivid community, we need to put in some extra effort and get to know „the different ones“ and learn how to accept them. Cooperation with partner schools opens up the possibility of learning and meeting differences and enjoy the colourful diversity of life. We hope a wide range of activities we have designed and created will help us all develop our IT skills as well as communication in foreign languages, fundamental features of the EU citizens.
