April Fools' Day and Laughter in Bulgaria

April Fools'Day is a day celebrated in many countries on 1 April. It is also celebrated in Bulgaria. It is the day of lying, playing tricks and laughing. 

Bulgarians are often ready to find something to laugh at. If they don't take themselves too seriously, they can always find something to ridicule even in the most tragic times in their life. You can hear them tell stories like real anecdotes. 

In Bulgaria there are many amazing professionals in the field of laughter. Such are the actors Marious Kourkinski and Kamen Donev. Tickets for their shows are usually sold out a month in advance. And the laughter is guaranteed. People love spending time seeing such shows because they provide a hearty laugh and a good way to forget the daily concerns and the burden of problems. 

The good times and the jokes are some things Bulgarians really appreciate. That is why we have a city of humour and satire. In Gabrovo you can see the House of Humour and Satire. 

All the mentioned things prove that laughter is an important part of the Bulgarian way of life. That is why April Fools' Day is a very special day. You can celebrate it in many ways. You can see some funny show or a play. You can visit the Bulgarian city of Gabrovo or you can do the most common thing - think of your own practical joke and a trick to play on your friends...
