The general objectives for this project are the following:

1. To be able to know, classify and distinguish the main characteristics of animals.
2. To observe animals and plants, identifying their main characteristics and functions.
3. To develop respectful habits towards environment and all the living creatures that can be found there, pointing out their corresponding needs.
4. To be aware of some environmental problems and develop initiatives to improve the situation in their nearby surroundings.
5. To improve students' orientation as well as their interpretation of the area where they live.
6. To value air and water as key elements in any living creature's life.
