The Quixote's Route: First stop

  • ARGAMASILLA DE ALBA

    PADLET

As part of our programme of active travel to the centre to reduce the emission of gases produced by vehicles, and following our healthy breakfast calendar, our pupils are adding up kilometres that we will be exchanging for different "prizes", but which will also allow us to visit some of the most important towns on the Don Quixote Route.
In getting to know these villages we will study the characteristics of the village, monuments, as well as some activities of their ecological footprint.
The first of these villages is Argamasilla de Alba.
This is the Padlet we will use for this.

ACTIVE TRAVEL TO THE CENTRE 1

This is our proposal for active travel to the centre

ACTIVE TRAVEL TO THE CENTRE 2

We accumulate 1 km per pupil per day to travel to other places.

    THE QUIXOTE'S ROUTE

These km let us to know The Quixote's Route

    Don Quijote in Slovakia

We in Slovakia do not have a statue or a place where Don Quixote lived, but the Slovak artist Cyprián Majerník designed a postage stamp bearing Don Quixote. We also have books for both adults and children, and even the Slovak National Theater in 2014 portrayed life about Don Quixote in a ballet performance. So Don Quixote left his mark on Slovakia as well. It is an honor for us.

    Don Quijote in Smolenice

We didn't know him, but we welcomed him and read enthusiastically the funny stories of Don Quixote.
