This project aims to create a learning situation based on the construction of an insect hotel (in each centre) and the systematic observation of the colonisation and habits of its inhabitants, optimising the protagonism of the pupils and their empowerment in the decision-making and development of the work.
Enriched by its European dimension, it will allow students to learn about native species from different parts of the world, their habitats, ecosystems, trophic chains, the concept of life cycle in comparison with the human one and the importance of keeping insects in their environment.
Although it is eminently scientific, at the same time, it will improve communicative competence, learning to learn and personal initiative. The knowledge and interaction of international students will also enhance understanding and respect for other cultures.
