    Environmental problems in Athens

    Today Athens is inundated with serious environmental problems. Our life begins and becomes difficult.
    Fires worldwide create huge atmospheric, health and ecological problems. The forest is the "oxygen source" of the planet and its destruction combined with the fumes that pollute the atmosphere have negative consequences for public health.
    Especially in Athens, the risk from fires is increased due to the high temperatures and strong winds that make it difficult to extinguish fires. Fires in our country destroy many acres of forest and greenery every year.
    There is also a lot of air pollution due to gasoline-powered cars.
    Although Greece has turned its attention to renewable energy sources, for the time being it gets most of its energy production from lignite, which is the worst environmental fuel, but remains the most economical.

    Environmental problems in Kaunas

    In Kaunas we face air pollution problems. Many people drive their own cars for short distances and do not use public transport. There are many factories in Kaunas and around it that work all day and night. Most of private houses are being heated by unknown and sometimes toxic materials.
