ACTIVITIES Spain
The 2030 Agenda was presented to our students of classes 3ESOA, 3ESOB1 and 3ESOB2, and they had the chance to discuss with their partners and analyze each of the objectives. In addition, they could make proposals of activities they can carry out to help their environment to be more sustainable and this way to achieve the objectives contained in the 2030 Agenda.
Spanish students visited Cadena Ser Radio Station so as to learn how to create podcasts. They had a great time and at the same time had the chance to ask the doubts they had about the creating and editing process.
In the last week of December, Spanish students learnt about European politics regarding Energy Comsumption, they worked with some videos and made a quiz, which was followed by a class debate about this topic.
One of the teams prepared a project with measures to be implemented at school in order to make it more sustainable. Some of these ideas are:
- Organize trash collections.
- Organize games about recycling for the youngest students.
- Use recycled paper.
- Make people aware of the overuse of plastic.

Spanish students have been received by the Mayor in the Town Council, where they have explained their projects and asked the Mayor to provide contacts for Members of the European Parliament in Brussels. The local media have all reflected the visit.

Spanish Team participated on 27th and 28th March on a Preparatory Visit held in Zagreb. In it, coordinators of every school had the chance to organize the upcoming mobility to Germany and Brussels, as well as agree on participation for future projects. What's more, they participated in a sound editing workshop, very useful taking into account that every school has to create some podcasts.
25.04.22 TO 29.04.22
Students and teachers from IES Gregorio Prieto travelled to Sachsenheim and visited our host school GMS am Sonnenfeld. Here the students could present their sustainable projects, as well as prepare, in international groups, an interview for politicians related to the agenda 2030.
On 27th, they travelled by train to Brussels with the rest of teams, and there they could visit the European Parliament and interview a Spanish Member of Parliament, Cristina Maestre.
They went back home with the satisfaction of having learnt a lot about two topics they have been working on along the year: European Institutions and Sustainability. What's more, they took home a lot of new friends from different countries.
