Other Famous Greek Mathematicians

1. Pythagoras

We talked about Pythagoras and his famous theorem.

 The children found the correct squares for each side of the triangle. Afterwards, we observed that the big square is hidding inside it

the two others.

2. Thalis

We talked about Thalis and his life. Moreover, we observed his famous theorem and then we tried to copy it. 

We also observed the shapes in his theorem.

3. Hypatia

We also learned about a woman mathematician, Hypatia. We tried to find as many things around us with the same shape of the 4 conic sections.

NEWTON

Whirligigs (based on Newton)

We created whirligigs, based on Newton's theory. We used them as invitation of our final school party.
