Erasmus+: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle in Spain-final transnational meeting, May 2017

  • A large number of teachers in charge of the teams involved in the project “Reduce, reuse and recycle: with the joy of learning” met again at the end of May, 2017 to conclude an experience that has managed to go beyond frontiers and bring European countries, their students and teachers a bit closer. The chosen point was again Alcobendas, where the different teams gathered along 3 working sessions to assess the project, put an end to the documents and files required, and to propose suggestions and improvements for new possible experiences. Together with these days of extensive work and exchange of opinions, the teachers visiting Spain could enjoy different activities, including a guided tour through the most emblematic buildings of Madrid in the Austrias period, an afternoon of sightseeing in Alcalá de Henares, Miguel de Cervantes' home town, and a gourmet gastronomic experience in the most typical “sidrería” (cider bar) of Madrid. Here the visiting teachers could taste traditional Spanish dishes, including “empanada”, “tortilla de patata” o “chorizo a la sidra”, as well as the typical Asturian Cider directly “escanciada” (poured) by a professional waiter. This was undoubtedly a marvellous atmosphere to close this project with the high note it truly deserves.
