Erasmus+: Reduce, Reuse, Recyle in Poland, May 2016

  • In the middle of May 2016 Poland hosted 50 students and teachers from 6 partner schools. The guests were from Spain, the Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, France and Sweden. The students were cooperating together and worked on activities for 5 days.

During the first day, students and teachers had a chance to plant seedlings in the school pitch behind the school gym. There were different types of seedlings and we wanted to show that our friendship will last forever. The Polish teachers prepared a show about the importance of being eco-friendly. The students were involved in making healthy muffins from millet goats and a recycling tree from plastic and paper. Then the guests went on a guided tour in the city and in the Solanki Park. They could see the graduation tower and learn how it works.

During the next day we went to Torun and we visited the city. Torun is a beautiful city, famous for gingerbread and that is why we also learnt how to make little gingerbreads. We walked down by the river Vistula and found out how important water is to make the city growing and evolving.

Then we went to the resort “Funka” for two days. We took part in ecological workshops, we learnt more about various ways of saving water, energy, and selecting rubbish, we discovered different types of plants and animals, but also we talked about renewable energy sources and the importance of the environment.

At the end, we went to Warsaw and enjoyed sightseeing the city to show the cultural aspect of our country.
