The Italian students presented some Italian HEROES to their foreign partners. The six HEROES were chosen according to the project's aim, with the help of the History teachers and considering the students' interests.

Four HEROES are "HEROES of the Resistance" who fought against Fascism or who suffered because of it. They are

GINO BARTALI

ALDO GASTALDI "BISAGNO"

LIDIA MENAPACE

LILIANA SEGRE

The other two HEROES are PEPPINO IMPASTATO, who was killed by Mafia, and the Olympic wheelchair fencer BEBE VIO

These HEROES were chosen because they are a source of inspiration for the young generations and they all showed great energy and courage and never gave up their fight for justice, equality and a better life.
