Dissemination activities

  • During the school year 2021-2022 several dissemination activities have been carried out in order to make known classroom activities and projects developed with our students in the context of the Erasmus+ programme. These are briefly detailed below and links are provided to find out more information about these activities.

    International CLIL Conference

During December 2021 the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GAMIFYING MATHEMATICS IN CLIL CONTEXTS: APPROACHES AND GOOD PRACTICES was celebrated in which two papers were presented about activities carried out during the academic year 2020-2021. The titles can be found below in the certificates of participation. The conference book is not open access.

    Paper2

Publication of a book chapter on one of the experiences presented in the interantional CLIL Conference (Chapter 12)

As a result of one of the papers presented at the CLIL Conference, a book chapter of one of the two experiences was published. Below is a Google books link showing part of the book, in which my contribution corresponds to chapter 12.

    STEM Discovery Campaign 2021 award

During the 2021 academic year, our school participated in the STEM Discovery Campaign 2021 (SDC21) of Scientix with several activities. We received an award in the contest dedicated to promoting the visit of STEM professionals to the classroom. Specifically, the title of the activity was "STEM Professionals go back to school to motivate vocations", and the experience is available at the following link:

Event to promote the award received in the STEM Discovery Campaign

During the academic year 2021-2022, several activities have been developed to disseminate the practices highlighted during SDC21 to European teachers. During March, our math teacher Alvaro Molina had the opportunity to participate in an online event to present the activity awared in the STEM professionals go back to school Programme:

Work awared in the STEM Discovery Campaign 2022

Likewise, during this academic year we have continued working to bring STEM careers to the classroom by presenting a new activity, which has also been recognised as one of the most important and which can be found at the following link.

    Scientix TV

This year, Scientix has launched a new project to present YouTube videos aimed at disseminating different aspects related to STEM education. Our math teacher Alvaro Molina was lucky enough to participate in the first pilot episode talking about the experience with the activities carried out during the STEM Discovery Campaign to bring STEM careers to our students by meeting different professionals.

    Instructables

Instructables is a website where you can upload and share, among other things, activities to do in the classroom using technological resources. This year we have uploaded the following activity to calculate the height of a building using trigonometry, a micro:bit board and a 3D printer. An example about how our students should use technology in an active way in order to improve they learning process.

    Virtual tour with CoSpaces Edu

As an activity carried out as part of the visit of the Erasmus+ programme partner school, the following virtual tour created with CoSpaces Edu was sent to them a week before their visit to Cordoba. The places included in the tour was the same included in a treasure hunt planned to the German school. This virtual tour was send to the German School one week before their visit and it is planned that the German Centre will prepare a similar activity prior to the visit of our students to Germany during my job shadowing that our math teacher will do next september
