eSafety. Electronic safety. How to be safer when using the internet
DO’S AND DON’TS ON ESAFETY FOR ERASMUS + “HEADS UP!”
- Objective: raise awareness on eSafety.
- Task: create a poster of “Do’s and Don’ts on eSafety.”
- Brainstorm about the dangers of the internet.
- Watch the video “Tagged” about cyberbullying: https://www.esafety.gov.au/educators/classroom-resources/tagged/student-home
Turn on English subtitles. It does not have Spanish subtitles.
- Share the ideas of the video.
- Also use the presentation from Netsmartz in this folder.
- Each student creates his or her own decalogue about what to do and what not to do on the internet. (Ten rules)
- The decalogue can be created using Canva, Power Point, Slideshare or other app.
- If you use Canva, go to https://www.canva.com/ and choose one of the templates which best suits your poster, like the templates for classroom rules. Check it is a free template. Edit it with your rules and relevant pictures about eSafety.
- It can only have one page in a A4 format. It should have a poster format, taking care of the design with a nice font and adding some images.
- Teacher marks each poster uploaded to Google Classroom.
- With the best ideas in format and rules on eSafety, each class creates a new common set of eSafety rules.
- Each class presents their Do’s and Don’ts to the school contest.
- The Rules of each class are voted and chosen the best.
- The candidate sets of rules may be uploaded to the school website for voting.
- With the best ones, we create the school favourite, which will be shared, used and spread at school.
- The result will be our product to the Erasmus+ project, where a common one will be agreed.
