Introduction

If we think to very famous scientists we think about their discoveries but we don't reflect that they are human beings with a lot of problems in everyday life as us.

We cannot really understand scientists and their ideas if we don't study their cultural environment, the age in which they lived with political conflicts, the economic situation and the religions and beliefs that has been overcome today.

Scientists are son of their epoch and bring innovations but also ideas that can appear to us as  obsolete ideas.

Scientists can be wrong in some cases but they remains men of science and they follow the scientific method using what technology can provide them.

What we want to realize

We have divided our classes in 12 international groups (with 3-4 students from each country).

We have chosen 6 big scientific arguments (Biology, Genetics, Astronomy, Physics, Energies/Environment, Geology) .

Each group have to choose 3 scientists, discussing together on the twinspace forum.

For each scientist they have to do:

1. write a short biography
2. Choose one concept discovered by the scientist
3. Show the concept with a simple experiment of creating a little model

At the end, each group will produce an e-book of their work.
