Greece

  • Easter in Greece is an important religious holiday. Our 6th-grade pupils worked collaboratively and wrote a story in the form of a letter from a Greek boy called John to his friend from abroad. In their story, they include details of how Easter is celebrated in their town, Neapolis and describe the traditional celebrations during the Holy Week and on Easter Sunday. Pupils worked with their teacher in Greek and the story was translated into English by two pupils, Napoleon and Elpida. Napoleon also created the following e-book on storyjumper.

As Easter in Greece was celebrated almost a month later, pupils were encouraged to write more Easter stories that were collected in the following e-book.
