Hi, my name is Jovanka, I come from Ohrid, Macedonia. I studied sociology. I like to research, read books, sports activities, learn new things. I’ve been working in education for 10 years, I teach civic education and religions. As a sociologist, I work with my students on projects that aim to raise human awareness of action in society. In this way, I encourage them to explore, think, form their critical opinion about what is happening around them. The desire to progress professionally and individually led me to subscribe to eTwinning. I hope for the good cooperation, positive energy and a share of experiences.

  • Women remain a minority among researchers globally. A report from the UNESCO Institute for Statistics on the percentage of women among researchers shows that. Worldwide, only 29.3% of researchers are women. In Europe, the percentage of women researchers is lowest in the Netherlands (25.8%) and highest in Macedonia (52.3%), according to a report published in June 2019. Our country is one of the three countries in Europe where there are more women researchers than men.

With the help of the tool classtools.net I presented that information as news of the day.

I used the Genialy tool to create a presentation for International Women and Girls Day in Science so that students can learn more about the importance of this day.
