Rosa Plaveva was a Macedonian socialist, women's suffrage activist and one of the first women politicians in the Ottoman period. She continued her activism for the emancipation of women in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, and later in socialist Yugoslavia. Her house was a meeting place for Macedonian and Turkish activists advocating for feminist and feminist issues. In 1917, at her initiative, about 100 women signed a letter calling for the release of Rosa Luxemburg, in which they also corresponded as ideological contemporaries. In 1920 she founded the Organization of Socialist Women in Skopje. Rosa Pleveva is known as the "Macedonian Rosa Luxemburg". She was also locally called "Deli Rosa" which can be translated as "brave Rosa".
Why do I choose Rosa Plaveva to emphasize in the field of women scientists? Because she was one of the first women's rights activists to advocate for the emancipation of women, equal pay for men and women, the abolition of capitalist exploitation, and the active and passive suffrage of women. In 1920, Plaveva's commitment to open a free pharmacy was noted, and she managed to get workers to receive a free examination twice a week, in which she succeeded in women's equality.
