Short Term Exchange Of Pupiıls TURKEY 30 Nov.-4 Decm. 2015

  • 1st day

    1. “Be my friend!”. The meeting of all the guests for the first time!

     Presentation of the students to know each other, exchange of mail addresses students and initiation of correspondence by using power points, simple videos, taking videos or using their e-mails.   An e twining page will be occupied to make the exchange more easy and visible by students.  Some ice-breakings will be used for introducing students.

    2. A trip around Nevsehir

    Description: “Turkish medicinal wild plants “

    We will visit the nearby land/people houses to find wild plants, also known as weeds, and the plants used for healing. We will be together with parents and grandparents   who are familiar with these plants and we will discuss about their use.

    Focus on Subjects/Skills trained: presentation skills, self-presentation, communication and collaboration, team work, tolerance, participation and relevance, IT, Biology.

    Report: PowerPoint presentations or videos   certificates.

    2nd day

    1. Workshops „How to use eTwinning!”

    Description: eTwinning platform - presentation, application, post.

    An introduction workshop will be done about creating own page on eTwining.

    Students will make simple PowerPoints, videos or take photos of him/her or about their school or hometown. Students will learn to login, using the e-twining page on their own an how to get in communication with their partners .And also students will be aware that; they will categorize  the  activities that will be  taken during time of Project.

    2. Activity  “Logo„

    Description: beginning of activities provided and the logo competition. Students will design a logo that will include elements regarding the project and countries involved. Using this logo the project will be identified easier. There will be a contest in all countries and the winning logo will become the emblem of the project.

    The students may draw their own picture or create an original work on their own .This simple and funny activity will strength the relationship between them. And also a logo competition will be organized which will add rivalry act. There will be a contest in all countries and the winning logo will become the emblem of the project.     3rd day

    1. A meeting with the Cappadocia community -- about old tradition, meeting with the old herbalist still alive and visit the the herbal shops.

    2.  Seminar “How to make medicines from plants!- all over the world drinking tea, pleasure or if necessary, in the event of illness, but there are only a few people know about and how to prepare, in order to be as efficient as possible. Here's how to make medicines from plants- infusion, decoct, macerate, powder, tincture, medicinal vinegar, other.

    Focus on Subjects/Skills trained: Biology, health education, communication and collaboration, team work.

    4th day

    1. A trip to Aksaray

    Description: A visit to the garden of the city.

    The aromatic plants and herbs have had a special place in our lives from interactive, pharmaceutical and ornamental aspect.

    The healing properties are known since ancient times.

    2. The history of tea

    Tea has become popular in Turkey in the 20th century, as an alternative cheaper from the coffee, and now is being served at any time of the day, as Turks from the tables.

    While Chinese and Indians boast that they have discovered and used tea for thousands of years, but they have developed a custom mode to prepare and drink black tea (Çay in Turkish or Camellia sinensis in Latin language), which has become a way of life for their rich culture. When you walk in Turkey, tea or coffee (at least as well known) will be offered as a sign of friendship and hospitality, anywhere, at any time, before or after any mass.     5th day

    1. A meeting with members of NGO- TEMA Foundation (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats)

    Description: The aim is to inform and sensitize teachers, parents, children, teens and the entire local community in our region about the problems facing the environment and their relationship to quality of life.

    2. Evaluation of the meeting

    Description: Each partner team prepares a poster.

    Focus on Subjects/Skills trained: Biology, health education, communication

    Report: certificates, photos/video materials, posters.

    and some simple herbal preparations such as infusions and decoctions

    1. Workshops “National cuisine“.

    Description: Mixed teams, using national Turkish   recipes, prepare food for “The traditional food table“.

    2.  Meeting with a specialist in therapeutic massages and other specialties of the natural medicine area (Turkish bath - hamam)

    4. Exchange   herbs / tea mixes – everybody can see or taste  plants that do not grow domestically (In the meetings we could  taste different  herbal teas ,videos  about  tea rituals  on website.
