Teachers Final Conclusions

  •  Our Final Conclusions about the project
     5th June 2020

    Beatriz Caballero

This is my first experience in an eTwinning project and I must say that I have realized there is a huge world to discover.

About this specific project, it has been a pleasure to feel how involved the students have been on it. They have done a really great job, from the activities themselves, to the fact that they have interacted with people from different countries, differenct cultures and different backgrouds. It has helped them to develop some skills such as communication, languages, creativity, empathy or teamwork, among others.

It has been a very enriching learning: not only it has addressed the issue of the project, but it has been implemented in the whole process.
I can only add that my collegues have done this path highly engaging and cosy.

In conclusion, I totally recommend eTwinning as well as this team.

    Honestly, thank you.

Sharing work is the best way of putting into practice what is learnt at school. Our students have worked tough to get involved in many activities. Our guide as facilitators was to open their minds to fifferent topics and to become familiar with different tools so that they are able to acquire competences for the future.

The project Unity in Diversity has made all these things possible as the topics suggested for reflection made the students become aware of the importance of inclusion and diversity. Theya have alsio learned how to cope with ICT tools which allow them to express and reflect their ideas in an original way.

Because of this significant and meaningful way of working, the project has become a success since all of the students have learnt a lesson while they have also taught a lesson: committment to inclusion. A great approach to the field with lots of activities which have enriched us personally and professionally.

Thanks for sharing all these things in a wonderful project which certainly will sow the seed for a better future and better citizens fostering their international dimension thanks to the Eurpean collaboration with the Erasmus+ programme too.

    Lucia Colore

Being part of the eTwinning community has always meant a lot to me since I started woking on eTwinning projects! But this year's project has been a special one. The students involved have been many because the project is connected to an Erasmus project and all the students have given their contribution in specific phases of the project.

The lockdown originated from the corona virus pandemic has showed how strong and vital the impact of online projects like ours can be on the teaching and learning methodology at school.

Working with my Spanish colleagues has been fruiful as always and meeting some of them in our first mobility to London was amazing.

All the activities included in the pages and the final collaborative products  created by our students lead me to the conclusion that if students are encouraged and supported by their teachers' enthusiasm they can do very well. On the other hand, motivated students can make their teachers get to really unexpected goals.

    Thank you all!

Our students have not only gained awareness of diversity and inclusion but they have also lived in diverse and inclusive contexts thanks to this eTwinning project. They have gained self-confidence and autonomy too. I am more than happy with the results. Fortunately, we were used to this online methodology when schools locked down. Our students had the opportunity to continue with the activities after the closure of schools because of the covid-19 pandemic, in March 2020. Actually, they have been working till the end of May.

It has been a pleasure for me to work with Lucia Colore and her students because they are very hardworking and enthusiastic partners. I´d like to stress that collaborating with my colleagues at school, Beatriz Caballero and Javier Martinez, has been fantastic and this collaboration has had a very positive impact on our students´job. Both of them have designed nice activities for the students and have mentored international groups. In our mobility to London, Beatriz Caballero was a key person and did a fantastic job.

    Many thanks to you all!

I´d like to make a reminder of the topics of our project: 1. Digital inclusion. 2. Cultural inclusion and diversity. 3 Disability and social inclusion.

The topic of the first part of the project, Digital Inclusion, has become relevant and urgent. How the good use of digital resources can contribute to equality in our societies? Are ITC tools promoting better, safer and more tolerant  communities? Is access to the internet a relevant issue? Should we consider that all persons have the right to a good and proper use of the internet? Is access to information and knowledge a right that should be protected nowadays? Why? How can we contribute to a global citizenship using ITC tools?

We´re testing if it´s possible for all our students to keep in touch with teachers and to continue their lessons and their education. Digital and online education is our challenge now.

Our Plans for next school year (2020-2021)

We have decided to finish this eTwinning project-Part 1, related to Topic 1, in June-2020 because of these reasons:

    1. We have lots of high quality materials as a result of collaborative work, not only during our Erasmus mobility to London but also before and after that mobility. Main collaborative products have done from March to end of May.

    2. The project works as a whole and has an entity. Although it was designed for two years´time, supporting the Erasmus KA229 project, we have adapted it to our real work this year and we have rescheduled the activities due to the present circumstances.

    3. We´re planning more activities related to the next topics and mobilities to Spain and Italy next school-year. Those new activities will be the core of a new eTwinning project.

This school-year we have covered topic 1 in our project and the general values of inclusion and tolerance fostered by the project: digital inclusion, immigration, homeless, gender gap... Next school-year are planning activities related to the next topics and mobilities to Italy and Spain

Next school-year, 2020-2021, we´ll start another eTwinning project with the same title Part 2, related to Topics 2 and 3, and we´ll continue with our Erasmus KA229 project.
