Osnovna škola Sveti Petar Orehovec

Sveti Petar Orehovec Elementary school is situated in the North-Western part of Croatia where about 4500 residents live in 39 smaller villages. The school staff consists of  40 teachers and 3 professional associates. 333  students attend our school in this school year. Aside from compulsory subjects, students can choose between optional subjects such as English, ICT, and Religious Education.

School offers and many extracurricular activities. In previous Erasmus + projects, the journalistic and film groups were particularly active. The journalistic group produces school digital magazine KLINČEK

Our motivations for participating in this project are some real problems from our school. The biggest problem is the lack of understanding from parents about this problem. Parents usually don’t respect teachers’ recommendations about the age limit for using social networks or recommendations about parents’ protection.

By participating in this project our school wants to have more opportunities to focus the attention of students, parents, and teachers on the issue of Internet safety.
